What we keep
Last updated 30 September 2026
Onyx House (“we”) runs small experiments, like Unwritten, to learn what people want before we build it. This page covers our waitlist pages. It’s written to be read, not to hide things.
What we collect
- Your email address, if you join a waitlist.
- Your optional answers to the short questions after you join (for example, whose recipes you’d save, their language, and whether the price feels fair).
- Basic visit information: which experiment page you visited, which version of the headline you saw, the campaign tags in the link you followed (such as
utm_source), and the website that sent you. Each visit gets a random ID that isn’t linked to you and only lasts for your browser session.
We don’t use advertising cookies, tracking pixels or fingerprinting on these pages.
Why
To email you when the thing you signed up for is ready, and to decide what to build. We may occasionally email you a short question about it. If you ticked “happy to chat”, we may ask whether you’d like a 15-minute call.
Who else is involved
- Supabase stores the waitlist in our database.
- Our web host serves the pages and, like any web server, sees your IP address when you visit.
- Google Fonts supplies the typefaces, so Google also sees your IP address when the page loads.
We never sell your information or share it with advertisers.
How long we keep it
Until the experiment launches or is stopped, and then for up to 12 months so we can tell you what happened. After that we delete it, unless you’ve become a customer.
Your choices
Every email we send has an unsubscribe link. You can ask us to show you, correct or delete what we hold about you at any time by writing to hello@onyxhouse.co, and we’ll do it promptly.
Children
Our waitlists are for people aged 16 and over.
Changes
If we change how we use your information, we’ll update this page and the date above, and email you if the change matters.
